Project Mama Alert! Growing a Human; My Maternity Shoot at 38 Weeks and counting!

When I first began working with Emily, it was for my very first Headshot session almost 5 years ago. I was this awkward new Actor that had clearly never spent anytime in front of a camera and had no clue what to do for poses. But since then, I’ve never stopped calling her up when I needed to have photos taken.

I mean, not only is Emily and genuinely great person, she’s also incredibly talented and gives you this confidence boosting attitude that I would otherwise lack when in front of the lens. So much so, that she’s even photographed my Engagement photos, my Wedding, and now my First Bump! It’s crazy to think that we’ve officially come full circle.

But more importantly, I feel so lucky to have captured this beautiful journey on camera. It’s hard to believe how fast my pregnancy has gone. It feels like just yesterday that I saw that little blue plus sign. But even though our little one is almost here, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t going to miss this. Feeling her kicks in my belly, her constant hiccups, and hearing her sweet heartbeat from within is a feeling that is indescribable. It’s amazing what our bodies are capable of as women. Nothing will ever compare to this journey I’ve been on. But I’m sure that’ll all change once I look into the eye of our little one. Thank you so much to Emily Beth Photography for capturing these moments, for capturing some of our last moments of “just us”, and for giving me the Maternity Shoot of my dreams.
