Hello strangers! It’s time for a life/work update. Let’s rewind a bit so I can tell you about an incredible project I had the chance to be a part of back in October.

If you would’ve told me 10 years ago I’d be pursing a career in acting while pregnant with my first child, I’d call bull! But, lo and behold, there I am, on the set of “For Rosa”. And not only was I was the only pregnant women on set surrounded by silicone and balloon pregnant bellies, I was also on set working with an incredible Latinx cast having the time of my life, learning and getting to know one another. But more importantly is how truly incredible this story being told is.

“For Rosa” is a Short Film written and directed by Kathryn Boyd-Batsone for her Master’s Honors Thesis. It is “Inspired by the Madrigal Ten, a group of women who were ten of many Latinas sterilized without consent while giving birth at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center during the 1970s. This story follows Eva, a fictional mother, who after being informed of her sterilization, is faced with the life altering decision of joining Jessica, a 26 year old fierce Chicana attorney, and nine other women in a lawsuit against the hospital despite the shame she might receive from her community and family.” For Rosa IMDb.

Needless to say, it’s a powerful story and you wont want to miss it! Be sure to check back soon for more updates on “For Rosa” release as well as new projects I’m working on! Hasta Luego!
